Site upgrade with Laboratory: Eastern Creek

After the recent acquisition of a site PACT group and their subsidiary Jalco Group commissioned Synergy Construction Group to design and construct a functioning laboratory customised to suit its highly specific requirements. We also reconfigured and upgraded an existing office space, installed PIR panel walls and rapid doors to section the warehouse and various other warehouse and amenity upgrades

Works included the following:

Laboratory and laundry facilities

  • New drainage, floors and walls, lighting, and plumbing
  • Fume extracting HVAC system

Warehouse upgrades

  • PIR panel walls with 3 x rapid roller doors (for packing and distribution area)
  • Dangerous goods cage with compliant ceiling and sprinkler system to accommodate the storing of aerosols
  • Upgraded change rooms with lockers, upgraded and reconfigured office space, and new dispatch office

The previous owners’ board and large meeting rooms were converted into a two new laboratories, laundry, cold storage, and ovens area. We repurposed the existing laboratory joinery and equipment from the client’s old premises in Silverwater and installed a considerable amount of plumbing and drainage in the laundry section. We installed code-compliant fume extracting HVAC systems to make it a safe working environment and also upgraded their change rooms with new lockers, fixtures and fittings for employees.

After transferring the client from their previous location in Silverwater, we also completed a minor make-good to their old premise.

This was an exciting project as it involved two sites – one for the make-good in Silverwater and another for the site upgrade in Eastern Creek. We coordinated the management of both site-works with careful pre-planning and impeccable project management.  The project reflects Synergy Construction Group’s diverse capabilities and experience in working with complex projects with special requirements beyond a standard industrial refurbishment and fit-out.
